SHOPPING FOR SOLIDARITY
Zimam was centre-stage at Nablus' biggest shopping festival this month, promoting freedom, respect and working together.
Zimam activists took the initiative to organise a shopping festival in Nablus, attracting traders and shoppers from across Palestine. Alaa Salous, Program Officer, delivered the opening speech and thanked Zimam and its volunteers. The money raised from the festival will go to the Students' Fund.
25 Zimam volunteers joined to help run the Zimam stall, to build recognition of and attract awareness for Zimam's work. Over 6 days, 100,000 people attended the festival, offering Zimam an incredible opportunity to engage with civil society. Interacting directly with around 2,000 visitors, 150 new young people signed up to join our growing movement.
