Over three hundred people attended a Zimam event at the Jericho Municipality Theater, shining a light on two success stories in order to inspire self-confidence and break social stereotypes.

The two speakers, Bashar al-Souri and Abeer al-Natsheh, shared their stories of overcoming difficult challenges and still finding success, demonstrating the importance of Zimam’s message of “hope for tomorrow”.

Abeer set up the company My Pink Electronics which equips Palestinian women from East Jerusalem with technological skills. Bashar, also from Jerusalem, established an initiative called Aware which helps Palestinian university students to decide what they want to study and what they want to do after graduating.

It was the first time in two years that the venue had been filled to capacity, and Zimam hopes to recreate this event in other areas of the West Bank.
