“Al-Masri was honored for his support for the youth, especially his efforts to actively meet with our activists and host them several times in Rawabi”, said Zimam Executive Director Abdallah Hamarsheh.

“We are proud of Rawabi as a pioneering Palestinian achievement.

Bashar has shown incredible support for young talents and their abilities to build our Palestinian state. We hope to have cooperation with Rawabi and Masar to provide support for the youth in Palestine within our shared vision”, Abdallah said.

Al-Masri thanked the Zimam team and praised their efforts and activities in enhancing the role of young people in our society, and Zimam’s hard work with all sectors to build a democratic state.

Al-Masri talked about how the majority of the Palestinian population is young, and noted that this must be reflected in the various institutions that seek leadership and development in our country.

“This has been the approach of Rawabi since its inception”, said Al-Masri. “Such an ambitious project needs a young, ambitious generation, one that is not afraid to dream, one that is capable of accepting challenges and one that is ready to explore wider horizons in the world of business and development.”

Zimam and Masar have worked together on the PLO program, which was recognized by many as the right step to help build a moderate generation of activists and address the leadership crisis in Palestine.

Zimam will be working with Masar and Rawabi in March to collaborate on several projects and help connect Zimam activists with change makers from Rawabi and several other institutes.

“It is important that we have youth institutions where young people are the driving engine for development and state-building. It is our responsibility to provide platforms for the youth and create opportunities that aligns with their interests, but also give them the space they deserve for creativity and achievement.” - Bashar Al Masri
